Take a look at Thunder Valley Racing.  It's a web site that features women
race car drivers in a number of racing series.  The site includes bios,
images, schedules, articles by women drivers, and a newsletter for fans of
women in racing.   The URL is:

OK, here we go on this one....:
I drive the NASCAR 1 and 2 sims along with my husband.  I had a good
run going at Michigan when Dale Jarrett decided to take out my computer.
There are many female driver shere in the states that drive STOCK
CARS.  No one said anything about women driving F1 cars.  There are also
plenty good road racing females here also.  Ever hear of Patty Moise,
Shawna Robinson, or even Cathy Mosier or Tanya Miller...?

Considering that Shelly Anderson currently is the quickest
TOP FUEL DRAGSTER driver I think YOU may be weaker.  Get
out of the 18th century, and get your facts straight.

Any ladies racers care to chime in??

Don't forget that little lady that set the Pro Stock Motorcycle record
last year. And then there is a new Top Fuel Driver this year that is a
17 year old Female. She won first round at the last race (forgot where
it was).

Not to mention Lynn Saint James which sometimes made me think she had
some "real" cohounas
at some of the lap times Ive seen her pop off in an Indy Car. This Dweeb
needs to get a grip.
Hes a bad example of why all men are stereo typed as shovanist and
doesnt speak for me in any way, form,
or fashion(hes probably under the age of twelve anyway!). I'll bet you
me my weekly salary this
chump could'nt take any of these women drivers in a 2 on 2 in a REAL
race car!

If you'd take a look at the site, you'd find ten women drivers, in
everything from IMSA Endurance Series to Sports 2000, to World of Outlaws
Sprint Cars, to dirt track stock cars.  A new driver is added each month.

And, yes, Desire Wilson drove in a number of F1 races, and won one of
them!

You forgot to mention Shirley Muldowney. I look forward to seeing more
women in the sport. I think part of the reason you don't see women
competing in the upper eschelons is bias. Another big reason is that there
just aren't many women participating, so the pool of talent is so much
smaller. I hope Patty Moise has a good season in the trucks this year. My
daughter loves to drive in NASCAR and she's looking for a woman driver to
root for in a racing series.

competed in Formula 1 back in the '70's....

Well, you might criticise their spelling, too.

But given that you can't spell "physically," I guess most women on
this ng would say you were dead wrong...

But the only actual Grand Prix she entered was the 1980 Britsh GP and she
failed to qualify for that :(
