N.I.C.E. 2 Excellent...Especially if...

This looks like a very promising title, based on the fact that the demo is
supposedly an alpha and that a "realistic" mode is to be included in the
final product.  (The demo is clearly running in "just for fun" mode.)  The
graphics are excellent, the sensation of speed is excellent, the car physics
are pretty good (fine for arcade mode and hopefully better in realistic),
there are lots of tracks (24) and a wide range of cars (in several classes)
to choose from.  Sounds too good to be true!!

I have a couple of suggestions, though.  The sound effects are very good,
but not excellent like the graphics.  The main thing that is missing for me
(aside from a bit more realism) is that the tires make no noise as they
traverse various road surfaces.  Please copy Europress' RAC Rally
Championship for an example of well done road noises that don't use a ton of
system resources to produce.

Secondly, I hope that in the realistic mode, trees will be solid, like the
buildings, rocks and fences.  This would even be fine in the arcade modes,
too.

Lastly, please put in a slider control for the AI aggressiveness or have it
change dramatically from one mode to the next.  The kamikaze actions of the
current AI may be fine for some sort of combat mode, but I would like to see
intelligent racing AI too.

I am c.c.'ing the developers on this post as I hope that more tweaking can
be done to this title before its release.  It blows away NFS II SE by a long
shot and could be a fun title for even those of us who like racing sims.
Please take the time to polish the title...you will be rewarded with lots of
sales and customer loyalty.

Marc.

Hi Marc,

thank you for your very special feedback.

Please read my annotations to your feedback.

In the option menu (final version) you can choose some different types for
the handling of the cars.
You will get a more realistic one, a Go-Cart steering and something like in
the demo.

We are trying to make some different noises for the various road surfaces.
But I think we
can do this up to the released version. So far, espescially the sounds are
in a very early
phase of alpha version. Most of the sounds we have just copied from our
first
product "Have a N.I.C.E. day!"
So I hope there will be no reason to worry about the sounds, because most of
them will be
totally changed.

Yes, in the option menu you can choose the collision for some objects, e.g.
trees

Kamikaze actions is the right word for the handling of the opponents. In the
demo
you will find no AI, they are only driving with 100%. Just the handling
among
each other will be correct, but there will be no reaction for the computer
player.
So, the AI have to be build for the final version totally new!
