when I try to install Test Drive 4, I keep getting an error saying it
can't deal with a file "setup.lid" or something (related to the
language), gives an error number of "105" and quits.  I did a DejaNews
search on this and found that others have had problems with a file of
the same name (but installing different apps) but never found anybody
saying if it was solved or ?  any clues?

Yeah, I remember when I installed The Pig Known As Test Drive 4.  The first
disc was defective (an appropriate word) but the exchange disc  installed
(squatted actually).  If you could make the cranky interface work you were
pretty lucky.  Imagine doin' a drive-by shooting in oh say, an F-15C then you'd
have the same luck trying to setup your joystick as the controller window
rotated by!  Bottom line: bad buggy game... pick something else.
