Guillemot FF Wheel

Has anyone else had trouble getting this wheel to work on Windows ME? I got
my wheel working fine on Windows 98 but now it won't recognise it at all - I
always get 'Not connected' in *** Options. I have tried installing
DirectX 7a instead of 8 but makes no difference and as usual Guillemot tech
support are useless! Any suggestions?

Also, I seem to have got confused with all my power supplies - I put them
all in box before realising I didn't know which was which! Could someone
please verify what the power rating for the wheel is and what the label on
the power supply says just to make sure I don't overcook it

Cheers,

Wilber

I have the Guillemot Race Leader Force Feedback wheel and have not had a
problem. Dumb question but what serial port do you have it connected too?
Try removing the entry for the wheel under device manager and then see if it
is connected.

Cheers,

I have tried it on both serial ports and the USB port to no avail.I tried as
you suggested but it still refuses to be recognised!

The important bit of my system are as follows:

AMD Duron 800 (o/clocked 600)
Abit KT7
Hercules 3D Prophet 2 GTS (Nvidia GeForce 2 GTS 64 Meg)
Guillemot Maxi Studio ISIS

Windows Mill Edition
DirectX 7a (downgraded from 8 for compatibility)
Latest drivers for all hardware (disregarding Directx!)

Since the graphics and sound cards are both essentially Guillemot products I
would have thought it highly unlikely that they are causing conflict with
the wheel.
