I just got Burnout and love it....I read at first that this was going to
be basically an arcade game, but quickly changed my mind after seeing
all the changes you can do in the set up of the car.

I liked Burnout so much I went to Mind Magic's sight to purchase
Tanttum's drag racing sim. I'm banking on Tantrum's game to be even
better.

First of all I hope NHRA has all the set up oprions Burnout does, but
more geared toward Top Fuel motors. ie how much % of Nitro to run in the
motor, how much mag to run, what pill is in the blower, how much
overdrive in the blower etc. etc. etc.

Also hoping they get the sound right. If the Top Fuel Motors don't sound
like the real thing I think the simulation part of the game won't be the
same...

I'm waiting to buy a force feedback steering wheel for Tantrum's game.
Does anyone have any ideas

Rick,

I dont think you will be unhappy with "NDR" it is a serious ***
drag sim, all the guys at Tantrum are present or past racers, John
Carapela runs a dragster now.

It has all of this and more :).

Wait til you hear it throught a good amp, speakers and a subwoofer,
it'll be more than your neighbors can stand<g>! Its all there from the
sound of the electric starter to the engine start and then the crackle
when the nitro comes in!

I dont know anything about FF wheels and so cant comment but I dont
think you'll be unhappy with NDR :)! If you are interested in more info
on NDR then email me OK?

I was using a FC setup which I got from one of the burnout web sites.
It had a 4700+ HP motor which sounded quite realistic.  Also you
cannot build this motor from the provided components. You need to
make a custom engine. The best I could do with the components in the
game was 1450 hp which did *NOT* sound like a FC or TF motor.
4700hp monster was getting closer though. The game is cool in
that respect.

If this is true Julian then it's a "CROCK of SHIT" why is there a different
version of the game, and why isn't it being talked about ?

As far as I know Bethesda hasn't said anything about it, publicly.

Welp.. Cause "Motion Software" are the people that designed the "Desktop Dyno".
More in likely the PRO will be more expensive.

Burnout, in current form, already has the code in it, yet prolly can't "import"
the DYN files from Desktop Dyno.. No biggie though.

This also has to deal with licensing issues, Since Motion Software let "Bethesda
" use the "dyno engine" from Desktop and Bethesda, "created" the physics for the
sim.

I see no problem though.. The other guy won't be any faster you than.. from what
 I have seen..

Julian, I was on Motion Software's sight and the Burnout pro version isn't
any more expensive than the current version.
