Hi Eldred

I just had an eye opener here and was wondering perhaps if you might
have a similar problem

After having taken a break from sim racing for a while I decided to do a
comeback with NR2002 :-), but I've been struggling really bad to get
down to comp times, and I have enough faith in my driving skills to
suspect that all wasn't well, especially after I a friend of mine handed
me one of his setups for WG and it was al but undriveable

Now I knew I had a slight controller problem, so now I suspected it
might be worse than first expected, it would usually manifest itself in
a slight twitch to right every so when I applied the brakes, but I
thought it was limited to that, until tonight

I had an unused Thrustmaster Nascar PRO set lying about and since my
wiring for the other setup came from a similar setup, I figured I could
do some testing and plugged it in

What a difference, within 20 laps I had set a new PB, and a setup that
had terminal oversteer was now perfectly controllable and a joy to drive
and I'm lapping constantly within a few tenths of my previous PB, AND I
moved my linear slider from around 55 to 75% and I'm going to try higher
settings later, because even at 75% it's easier to keep it in a straight
line that it was before at 55%

So even though your TSW might appear to be in basically good working
order, it might be that it's not, because I never suspected my setup to
be this bad, and I know for a fact that when it's working properly I'm a
fair bit quicker with it than with the Thrustmaster system, at least
that was the case in GPL, due to the much better brake pedal on my
Redline pedals

It's hard to describe the difference, but right now I actually *want* to
sit down and do laps at WG and just chuck the car about with some
powerslides and stuff and generally goof off :-), so if you know someone
who has a wheel/pedal set you could borrow for a couple of
nights.....who knows

All I have to do now is figure out *why* this is happening to my setup,
I'll probably end up rewiring the whole thing though, because
something's not right, but at least I know it's not *just* me :-)

Beers and cheers

Nope - the only thing I have available is an old T2 wheel...

Hmmm, too bad, personally I'm having a blast now that I have a wheel
that's working properly, and since posting this yesterday I have lowered
my PB at WG by about a second, and I'm now lapping regularly .5 sec
quicker than old PB

Can't believe the difference, is that T2 in good working order ?
