playing around in Surfer's Paradise with the standard garage setups
with damage set to REALISTIC mode (and crashing quite often with all
of them :-), I loaded up the FAST setup in the garage, set the fuel
load to 25 gallons, and saved my setup as "R" (IOW, it shows up as
"R.STG" in DOS). Well, I head back to the Practice session to find
that when I hit the wall really, really hard, my car doesn't suffer a
scratch! I checked back to the Main Menu and Options and found that
somehow the Damage setting was changed from Realistic to None.
Anyhow, I've noticed this happening with the Damage setting any time
I load a non-standard setup (i.e., a setup that I create myself).
Has anyone else noticed this?
I have a P133 with 16 MB RAM, CD-ROM installion (i.e., I didn't
install the entire game to the HD), and run in Win95 in MS-DOS mode
(SVGA, of course).
