N2 Setup Help, Please...Loose coming out!

OK, all you set up guru's, let's talk about approaching a problem I'm
getting more and more lately....When I get back on the gas comin out of
a turn  I get loose (Michigan and Atlanta, let's say...). I think it's
the LR breaking loose and the RR driving the nose down to the apron.
Generally I attack it by softening the LR shock or making the RR a
little stiffer. But it doesn't seem to be terribly effective, and at a
point it starts screwing up the rest of the setup. I'm wondering if
there's any other way to attack it.
I get it really bad at Dover as well. The entrance and free roll or
braking (depending on the track) are fine, but as soon as I get back on
the throttle the rear comes around.

Any thoughts guys?

Check your front/rear weight distribution, also try stiffening the front
end.  Works for my driving style.

There are many ways to fix that problem, but the fix may be a bandaid for a
setting thats way out. I would try softening the rear package first, but if
that hurts your turn in, try stiffening the l/ f. Try adding tire press to
the left front. You are trying to keep the right rear planted, dont make it
stiffer.

Softening the right rear in comparison to the left rear may improve the
problem a bit.  Do not stiffen the right rear - this will make things
worse.  If it helps - then you are mis-diagnosing the problem.  It is
possible that you are compensating for a car that is too heavy in the rear
or two soft in the front end.  Cross weight may also factor in and should
be considered in your diagnosis.  Most important of all, make small changes
to one component at a time and drive 10 or more laps until the tires warm
up.  Also make sure  you start with a full fuel load each time you enter
the track (this does not automatically reset).  As the fuel burns off and
put on new tires you will be tempted to add more rear weight to get the car
to turn better.  You will also tend to get faster and might falsly think
you are improving the chassis with the faster lap times.

Good luck and have fun.  /TomH

ps. the AI are Dover is very fast and difficult to keep pace with during a
practive session, particularly if you use the modified Dover AI from the
Pits.

Im not the best N2 driver in the world, but may I make a suggestion?

try softening both the right side shocks the same, say 35 to start with
this works wonders for me
when you know the track well, you can stiffen them again for more speed
if you desire

Lou:

Heres what Jan Kohls N2 Setup Guide states for :

Loose Exiting The Corner:

1. lower LF tire press'
2. soften LF shock
3. raise LR tire press'
4. stiff' LR shock

Whats your rear spoiler setting  you may also want to raise it just a hair
helps get you through the corners better although you'll experience a little
loss in straightaway speed.  If you've got em covered down the straightaway
this will be only a small sacrafice. Its a quick effective fix that you can do
during a race without a lot of testing. if you do have time to test I would
recommend what has been said already I would concentrate on getting a good
 suspension setup.

I'd like to thank everyone for their help. The response, both here in the
group and via e-mail was great, and I have a lot different ideas to work
with. Thanks for taking the time everybody. As usual our sports "community"
is always ready to help!

Thanks
Lou B.
