Dont Kill the Messenger!!!

People asked some questions about "EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE"
on Hawaii and I provided my insite as to how and why it
has happenend.  Most of you have raced with the me and know
first hand that we dont approve of any kind of cheating.  The
thing that we have always promoted is a fair and level playing
field.

Enough Said,

Don Wilshe, IVGA

Mr. Carrillon asked me a good question about HAWAII and was
whinning as to how come the IVGA drivers we so fast.  I dont
know what he was implying, but its really simple paul.  We
have a program called FASTLAP that teaches one how to
qualify on the POLE.  We had the FASTLAP contest!!!  Let
me make it really really simple paul.. If you start on
the POLE you can usually win..  How do you think I got
235 wins on HAWAII.. Surely not from driving through the
PACK!!!!  If you would have learned how to setup a car
for FASTLAP you would have won more races as well.....

As Far As Robert Platt, GT86, and TCEckels they have
always flamed me and the IVGA drivers.  Well we have
a membership of over 3000 members now and yes with that
many people we will have problems.  But I am very proud
and happy with the performance of the IVGA MEMBERS!!!

I resent that comment! I am an IVGA member. Yes, when I was
a brand new rookie (just a rookie now) I came across the IVGA
page when I was looking for a league and joined the IVGA. I
have since learned a great deal about the IVGA from people
I trust. I would have quit but the last time I looked there were no
provisions for terminating my membership at your web site.

Tell ya what. You want to know what your membership really is?
Send a note to every member telling them they have to go back
to your web site and renew. Cancel the ones that don't and We'll
see if you crack a hundred loyal and maybe another hundred that
don't care and just want a place to run. ;-)

When and if I run in the NROS I'll probably stick with some sort of
IROC type group as the holes should be easier to plug there. All
of the worst scumbags will more than likely be in the open setup
arena so they really don't bother me that much. My participation
in these threads was caused mainly by one of your cronys STEALING
a win from my good, honest, hard working (racing wise for sure) friend,
Tom Eckels. If he says he was cheated then I believe it. The replay
should convince anyone else who doesn't know Tom.

Translation:  "We have a program called FASTLAP that pilfered users'
setups and then held a FASTLAP contest encouraging people to send us
their FASTLAP results, which included the pilfered setups!"

FWIW I don't really give a ***about Mr.Wilshe, IVGA, NROS or FASTLAP
contests.  I don't participate in any of the above but earlier threads
regarding what the FASTLAP program did shined the light on many facts
the FASTLAP users weren't aware of and the ensuing flame-fest was
quite entertaining.

Not that I have found either. After seeing Don doing some things on
Hawaii that I thought was un-fair, I looked for a way to "terminate".
Apparently I'd have to mail bomb Don until he finally removed me? :>

Does this last statment mean that you figure there is no harm if a
person steals another persons setup without them knowing it.  The fact
that there will always be faster drivers out there has nothing to do
with stealing. What else do you think is moral.

Dont Kill the Messenger!!!

I wrote Don a brief message stating my desire to quit the IVGA, and asking
him if he would remove me from the roster. He said that he would the next
time he added new people. That was two months ago. It makes me wonder how
many members there really are.

Perhaps mailbombing is a bit extreme, but perhaps Julia Data could suggest
how to quit and have one's name removed from the membership roster. After
all, he was quick to jump on the mailbombing suggestion (which I don't
believe was serious to begin with), so perhaps he know's something we
don't. What about it Julian?
