Powerslide vs Screamer

After finally getting Screamer 2 to work with my Voodoo2 and getting
used to the controls, I'm having a blast with this game! I never knew
sliding through the corners could be so much fun!!  How does the game
Powerslide compare?  Is there a lot of sliding around and is it as fun
as Screamer?  Thanks for any info!

Man, you just have to try the Powerslide demo
to answer that question. You can get it at
http://www.ratbaggames.com You probably won't
be playing Screamer 2 much more after that. I
must admit that the original Screamer was a
big favorite of mine when it first came out,
but the second version just doesn't cut it
for me. Powerslide is more of a futuristic,
Mad Max kind of thing, but it's a ton of fun,
and it has (in my opinion) the absolute best
sprint racing track availible today.

Have fun...

I downloaded the demo, and even though the readme and the docs on the web
site and when exiting the game say '3 levels of driver skill', I only get
'Novice' in the 'levels' menu (which only has enough power to run in 1st
gear).

Have you found the same?

I too got Screamer 2 working again a couple of days ago.

Played it and then deleted it again. The sliding was way too much to
feel fun and besides...

I had spent an hour playing the Powerslide Demo and it makes Screamer
2 feel and look like Pole Position (Atari 2600 version)

Definately get your hands on Powerslide demo. I used to love Screamer
2 but this takes it way beyond. Powerslide has THE BEST GRAPHICS
I have ever seen in a driving game!

You've got to win at Novice level to open up Intermediate, and win at
Intermediate to open up Expert.
