On a P3-500 with a 1 meg trident in GPL, I get about 13fps at 640x480 with 95%
of the graphics on. It was completely driveable, but the killer part is that I
have no sound card, I have no feel for the car at all :(

Hmmm, your interpretation of "completely driveable" at 13fps is open to
question?

I feel that is you were to compare GPL at 13fps, with GPL at 36fps you
would feel like you were watching two completely different sims?

Personall, I would reduce as many graphic, sound, and other game options
as much as possible to try and increase the fps.

But, hey, if you are happy with 13fps, who am I to argue!

You have a P3-500, but can't get together $10 for a sound card? Or $30
for a 3DFx card? Man, you ARE broke!!!!!!

Why do u have a 1Meg Trident card in your PIII? Are u trying to fool us and
see what our reactions are? I highly recommend u get off the chair right
now, take out 85 dollars and buy a Voodoo3 2000 and see your frame rate
multiply by three times when playing at 1024 then when playing at 640 with
your trident card. Of course you could go all the way and buy a TNT2 Ultra.
Oh and NO! it isn't magic

Hmm, i've got a 64mb PC133 memory module and
I'd appreciate any suggestions as to why I can't
install GPL. I can't even find where to plug the
screen in :(
