The latest version for ICR is 1.04 and 1.05.  There is no
difference between the two.  Papyrus I think just reserved 1.05
for the people who bought the expansion pack.  So the people
mentioning 1.05 have the expansion pack and the people who
mention 1.04 don't.
I know Nascar 1.1 is the newest right now.  From what I heard
on this newsgroup, 1.2 should be out really soon.

Can someone please tell me the version numbers of the latest versions
of Nascar and Indy-Car Racing. I thought 1.04 was the newest ICR but
I saw a reference to 1.05 somewhere recently. Also, 1.1 is the newest
Nascar version, right? When is 1.2 out? Real Soon Now ? :-)

Thanks

Pete

V1.04 and V1.05 are identical.  1.04 is avail for download and 1.05 was
shipped with the track package...

 Also, 1.1 is the newest

Yep....real soon as they say.

I bought ICR v1.05 in december 1994. The difference with v1.04 is a
modification for one add on track (don't know which one) and the memory
manager (DOS extender).

Wrongo, buddy...  I only have the game itself, and it installed
v1.05...  As a matter of fact, I haven't seen v1.05 available for download
ANYWHERE, even the Papyrus BBS.  Of course, I only checked once, since
I have the latest version, I don't have to worry about an upgrade... :)

As far as I know, for ICR the latest version (with one of the track
expansion packs only, as far as I know) is 1.05. Version 1.04 is
available by FTP from ftp.netcom.com, I think. For Nascar, the
current version is, as you say, 1.1, with 1.2 in the pipeline.

There is NO DIFFERENCE between V1.04 available on the Papyrus BBS and
V1.05 which was distributed in the expansion packs AND the newer game
packs which have been put into circulation SINCE the release of the
expansion packs last May......
