"Buying" Custom Cars?

by John Pritchar » Tue, 26 Feb 2002 09:00:43

This may be an extremely stupid question, but...

I like NR2002.
I hate the idea of designing a car using Photoshop or any other utility.
That's not how I like to spend my time and I lack the talent required.
But I'd like a custom car.

Anybody know of anyone who does this? I'd pay a small fee to someone with a
little talent (references/website with examples) and who enjoys doing this
sort of thing. Any suggestions?

Why pay when people will do it for free?

You might try looking around at some of the league websites or the fan
sites and if you see something you like, just use download it and use
that...  or you might find someone who will do it for you for free.

I paint cars sometimes when I am having a hard time on the track.
What do you have in mind for your design?

Gerald

Wouldnt that be Shultz's quote from Hogan's Heroes?  If so, that would be a german accent correct?

Sorry have no idea who that is, but I have heard of the show just never saw it(BBC right?).  I
figured most would incorrectly make the same connection I did with Hogan's Heroes.

never seen Fawlty Towers? You are hereby banned from RAS until you watch
every episode. Only about 12 I think and every one funnier than the next.
BASIL RULES. I***my pants everytime he calls that old lady a "scabby old
hag" under his breath.

Best episode ever is the one where they have guests from Germany and he
keeps telling everyone not to mention the war.....

I particularly like the scene where he wakes up in the hospital after
getting knocked on the head and there's this "less than strikingly
beautiful nurse" standing over him, and he goes;

"My good you're ugly aren't you ?"

To which she replies;

"If you're not nice I'll get the doctor !"

And Basil says;

"A doctor won't help, you need a plastic surgeon"

...or words to this effect, classic

Actually, I thought it was decent of him to offer to pay, shows that
he's not looking for a freebee, when I ask people to do something for
me, I always offer them something to make it worth their wile, then it's
up to them if they want to do it for free

"Goy Larsen"
  That's a fair point, but I do offer something very special to EVERY
team-mate.  I provide a valuable service.  I 'LET' them beat me...yes almost
everytime, so they have this feeling of accomplishment.  Noble isn't it?
