Newbie INDYCAR Questions

I apologize if these are silly newbie questions.  Is there an INDYCAR FAQ
posted to this board on a regular basis?  My questions are...

1.  I don't seem to be able to use my mouse (Kensington Expert Mouse) as the
input device for steering and shifting.  It seems that I can only use the
keyboard, or a joystick.  Since I don't have a joystick, that pretty much
leaves the keyboard which is a pretty lousy input device for steering.  Is it
possible to use the mouse as the input device for steering and shifting?  How?

2.  The graphics are pretty lousy.  Lots of jaggies.  Very low resolution.
What causes that?  The video card?  My computer is a brand new HP Pavilion.  I
would think that they would put a decent card in the computer.  Do I need some
sort of souped-up video card?  Which leads me to a general PC question...

3.  I notice that, in general, the graphics on my PC are pretty lousy.
Nowhere close to as good as my Macintosh (which I use at work).  The monitor I
got was a Nokia 447L (17", 1240x1028, 0.28 mm pitch, non-interlaced, 60 MHz
etc...).  Even applications like Word and Excel don't look as good on my PC as
they do on my Mac.  I'm assuming a better video card would help that, as well?

TIA,

I don't know about the FAQ.......I'll let you know if I do...

Well....ehm.....Nothing is sayd about the mouse in the manual....so...i guess
that it's impossible

It's the game......we all have the low res..........you should wait for
indycar 2.....it has svga !!.....en also better graphics in low res. !!

Ehh....ait a second....isn't that the same question as no.2 ??
The only thing you can improve is the ammount of frames per second....that
should make things look better....a bit.....:)  (not much)

H
Get a Joystick, or better yet a steering wheel, anything else and
you're gonna be sorry.

Thats the VGA graphics, better video card won't help the jaggies,
only speed them up.

Once again a vid-card will improve the performance of the
applications but not the looks, the Mac probably is just a better looking
computer. I wonder what the dot pitch on Mac's are these days?
