I stand corrected....I thought all along relese date for US was July 28th.
Maybe it was just wishful thinking.  :-)

At least the wait in the US for GP3 is not as long as it was for GP2 ...

I think you are mistaken. When GP2 was released in 1996, it was
approximately 10 days after the European release. This time around, it's
almost four weeks later!!
