Any F1RS owners waiting to see GP3 before getting UBISOFT MGP ?

Below you will find a few posts from other people that are not
that thrilled with Ubisoft selling MGP as a "new" game at
full new game price to owners of F1RS.
And in the end.......
It may back fire on UBI (no pun intended) because IF UBI would have
sold MGP as an "add-on pack" or at least given a good rebate to F1RS
owners that buy MGP.........they would probably sell a lot more copies of
MGP.
I think many F1RS owners will wait to see GP3 before rushing into MGP.

*I would be happy to pay $10 or $15 to upgrade...only because UbiSoft
provided a number of free patches already.  If anyone thinks this is
worth a full game price (assuming you already have F1RS), then they have
more money than sense.

*I'm with you on the 'upgrade' idea.  So long as the game is
75% recycled, it would seem that giving it a facelift would be less
difficult (expensive) than starting over.  Ubisoft is to be credited for
keeping a successful title up to date but for those who have already
paid for the game's development once, shouldn't they now have
the option of just paying for the additional work done to it since then?
I think the attitude that "I love sims so much it's worth it to me" is too
generous.  I don't expect to be gouged when buying water, even
though I can't live without it!

I don't think so.

(1) GP3 has been promised in preview for ohhh... 3 issues of PC Gamer now? and
never delivered?

The title, if ever, is a long way off.

(2) I don't agree with the free/reduced upgrade, or just *another* patch
issue.

F1RS may just be a 2-3 month old title in Nth America, but it's been in Europe
for at least a year now. I've played a full version at ECTS, and i personally
think there is enough there for myself to want it, and i'm expecting my copy
to be delievered in the next day or so.

No, I'll get it anyway, because F1rs impressed me far more than GP2  ever did.
I haven't played Gp2 since owning F1rs,
and in the year 2002 when GP3 is released Ubisoft will have produced F1RS6.

I thought there was more to MGP than a mere facelift and minor changes
to the physics.  Doesn't it also include "career" modeling and limited
number of cars per team per race, etc.
