if an upgrade isnt an option with your computer....
consider the Nascar1 game.... pretty kickaze.... for the first edition...
Nascar 2 probably won't work so well for you with only 12 megs... besides,
unless you get a working sound card, or a dedicated game card (only 30
bucks), you wouldnt be able to run n2 anways...
it requires a mouse  :(   try N1, though....  it's pretty durn good :)

Hi Folks,
Well after all my ***in', I finally got my Thrustmaster GP1 wheel to
work. My joystic port never did work, but I plugged it into the mouse port
and VOILA! I don't know why, I don't care why. I am loving this. I
increased my Michigan pole speed from 210 to 231.2 mph the first try.
Now I get to try all that neat stuff in adjusting the tires, shocks, wings,
gearbox, steering. I've only got Papyrus Indycar (1), but now I definately
want to get a NASCAR simm. So since everybody was so helpful (thanks for
all the m***support), Now I've got to seek advice on the car setups and
tips for each track. Also, where a good site to check out other
auto-racing simms. I'd like to get NASCAR2, but I'm afraid my 486 12 rams
won't handle it. What's the best simm considering my computer limitations?
Anyway, I'm having a hella good time (and the UH computer is working
better than ever even though it was supposed to be down this weekend, Go
Figure) Aloha, Henry

Hi Henry...

Nascar 1 is on clearance at the local Wal-Mart for $9.95.  Check it out,
if no go, then let me know ASAP and I'll see if I can pick one up for
you.  You can mail the $$ and I'll mail you the game. Let me know.

God Bless,

Andre

I went by walmart. All they had was NASCAR2. They also had something
called Racings Greatest Thrills with samples of 8 games including NASCAR1.
But the only track was Martinsville and the controls were canibalized so I
don't think it worked right. Is the NASCAR1 at Walmart the full deal? Let me
know if they still got it. Our walmart just cleaned out all the old stuff.
What do the rest of you think of the samples on Racings Greatest thrills.
I don't think they're accurate to the real ones. Gives new meaning to the
word "Limited Edition". If the samples aren't accurate, how about the
games they represent. Indy1, Indy2, Indycar circuits expansion pack, Test
Drive3, Formula 1, Al Unser Jr. Arcade racing, and NASCAR special edition.
It was all on one disk without a jewel case for $19.96.
Let me know what you think.
Aloha, Henry
