We have tried to play Nascar against eachother using an IPX network. but
somehow we cant see eachother. One DIALS and one ANSWERS. what' the IP-id
you have to give. is that your IP-number? of your opponent or of you. is it
a random number that has to be the same on both machines? how can we get it
to recognize the other side and play nascar against eachother

I am sorry to flame you but you don't have ANY networking knowledge whatsoever.

First off, Nascar Racing does not support ANY network ***, YET.

Second you want an IP address...that is a totally differnet protocol that IPX.

You don't DIAL an IP address.  And you have to be an IPX network in order to
play an IPX supported game.  Unless you use something like Kali, which
simulates an IPX network over and IP network.

I am also waiting for network support, but stop trying until it is out.  The
only multiplayer option is serial/modem for which you would dial the other
computer with a modem and the other would answer.

Good Luck.

NASCAR racing shipped with undocumented, unsupported code that allows two
players to race against each other, sometimes, over an IPX network. The
code was supposed to have been removed before shipment but wasn't. The
main problems with the implementation are:

- requires a Netware server.
- some Ethernet cards cause the code to crash.

I've got a Netware server and lots of ethernet cards - can you give some hints on how
we can try out this unsupported code ?

EEEERRRRRRRR....Wrong answer hero. NASCAR can be played on a Novell IPX
network. If you type NASCAR -n:(username of opponent) you will be able
to run against one other player.

Might I sugget knowing what the hell you are talking about before you
try to flame someone?
