Just ran a LOUSY race at Milwaukee.  It was a ranked race so everyone
was staying in.  Also the host had enabled yellows.  We rarely made more
than 2 laps without a yellow.  On the first restart I got a black flag
because a guy ahead of me spun just before we went back to green.
Fortunately, I dove into the pits to serve the flag when ANOTHER yellow
came out so I didn't lose a lap, but I did fall down to 20th.  I spent
the next 40 laps using yellows and a few green runs to move up into the
top ten.  then up to #4 with 5 to go.  With 2 left we went green but
didn't even get 1 lap done when the last  yellow came out...so we all
were confused if we race back to the line or hold up..I was in 4th or
5th under what I thought was yellow, when the spotter said get going and
race back to the line.
I started ahead, noticed the other 3 weren't going, and tried to stop,
but I got hit and shoved across the S/F line.  I didn't have a single
scratch on my Dodge for the entire 50 laps and I got DQ'd for crossing
the line ahead of the guy ahead of me...(who was the one who punted me
across the line...;<  )
there goes my top 2000 ranking

The next system will include the ability to set up ranked based races.  So
lets assume you achieve a level of 3 at Bristol.  You could set up a race so
that only people who were also level 3 or above at Bristol would be able to
join your race.

The new system wont restrict anyone from setting up a race nor will it
restrict a newer person for getting into the system.  What it will do, is
allow people to grow out of the open pickup style which is as much survival
as it is skill.

Down the line, also look for personal profiles (Ability to send in your own
picture and car files), Team Rankings, League Rankings and a Weekly
Tournament based on races run at a particular track each week.

Yes.... it is finished now.

Working *** getting our dedicated ranking system up and running.  I hope
everyone likes this stuff and gets some use out of it because it hasn't been
easy :)

Hopefully, N4 will produce stat files as well for us to use.

Your team has been doing a great job with www.raceserver.net.  My only problem
is I had to exit a Michigan 100% race in 18 laps in due to packet loss and I
didn't score very well ;-)

Jason.
