I'll *assume* you're talking to me...<g>
Like I said, I can't make the races, so they will be tracks I don't like.  How
about Rockingham and California?  Did we do "The Rock" already...?

Okay, so the Detroit Tigers finally won a game.  But is 1-11 *really* something

The races are for anyone here at r.a.s. We've been running on Saturdays at
4pm EST. Eldred has a server at sierra.com called epickett. The password is
ras. We use a fixed setup (papyrus <fast>) with yellows, double line
restarts, and realistic damage. Eldred announces the tracks during the week,
and so far the racing has been excellent. You can get all our custom cars at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
3f230&threadid=27523

Go to the second page of that thread and you'll see a post where Phil Lee
has put them all in a zip, and then a few more guys added their cars in
links in following posts.

So where are we racing this week?

The only problem with the great initiative is that 4 pm EST equals 10
pm CET, a time of day most people aren't supposed to be in front of the
computers :)

Eldred, I thought you had a 24/7 sever up aswell, but couldn't find it
yesterday. It would be great to have a "official" ras server where the
change of meeting known people are greater than some other random server.

Will be posted today or tomorrow.

4 AM here I think.
Not that I would dream of joining the *** masses in such redneck
activities anyway. They don't even have the decency to hire a driver,
for heavens sake!

Excellent idea Olav.. I can't race anymore on saturday evenings (yes,
I've got a new g/f) so a ras server where we european folks can hang
out at 'normal' times would be great!

That you must never write that word again :) And please turn off HTML
posting aswell. There is no use in getting a warez version of N2002
anyway, since you can't race it online.

So where are we racing this week?

by David G Fishe » Fri, 19 Apr 2002 20:06:52

I'm not against moving these races to Sundays. Sunday is my least busy day,
and I can always record the F1 races and watch them later and I'd guess the
NASCAR fans could do the same.

But the 4 pm est time doesn't interfere with F1 does it ? But I guess
it interferes with almost every CART and NASCAR race ?

If the races would be on Saturdays or Sundays around noon est (6 pm
CET) that would be perfect for us europeans, but maybe a bit trickier
for our american friends.

I guess it's not so easy to get the best of both worlds. I still have
to laugh sometimes when leagues are recruiting for international
drivers and race at 9 pm est :)
