Gerhard's converters...ANYONE PLEASE?

by Steve Dinca » Tue, 17 Jun 1997 04:00:00

Hi. Is there anyone out there who can quit pissing and moaning about
Nasnet, Papy/Sierra, or Dale Jr. long enough to e-mail me some directions
on how to use The Nas1 to Icr2 and the Icr2 to Nas1 converters?  I have
tried to run them from within individual track directories, the actual
TRACKS directory, and the game directories, but I only got 'partial'
conversions.  I tried posting once before, but I guess most people are to
caught up in these childish war games to notice a message that actually
uses this group for what it's supposed to be used for.  I know that someone
has to know how to use them because of all the converted tracks that are
floating around.
So please, if there are any true sim racers reading this (and I hope that
there are), as opposed to some of the self-righteous no-lifes I have seen,
give a fellow fan a hand.  After all, thats why this group is here, isn't
it?

P.S. - just out of curiosity - I know that when people use the letters AI,
they are are referring to the opposing drivers.  But what do those
'initials' stand for and where do they come from?  Just wondering...

Sorry Steve, I don't know about the converters but I thought I'd answer
your last question anyway. AI stands for "Artificial Intelligence" and
is used to refer to the cars that are controlled by the software. Human
competitors may or may not be intelligent and I guess they could
part artificial but you usually wouldn't refer to them as such ;-)
