braking in gpl

It has been my understanding that when braking in gpl one must back off the
brake when you hear the tires screeching. I do this even though the tires
have not locked up yet. It would seem that the tires are loosing grip trying
to decelerate too much. Is this true? I see some hotlaps of some people and
they are screeching the tires all the time. They also seem to brake later
than me. Is this why i can only get low 129's - high 128's at monza?

thanks,

Tires have the most grip when screeching slighty, to much screech and they lose
it.
Try to get enough to hear, same for cornering forces as well. Read this.

There are more sites like that but this ones pretty good.
