question about games and windows nt???

by Dave » Mon, 11 Nov 1996 04:00:00

I was wanting to bring windows nt  4.0 home on a new computer, but what i
want to know, is how compatable is it going to be with regular person
software, and will I be able to play games in dos with it. And if not, can
you run two operating systems like windows nt and windows 95, on the same
computer, and if so, how?????

You can allways keep your Dos when you installing NT 4.0.
When you start your computer you can chose "Windows NT 4.0" or your
previous operating system, in your case "DOS".
But remember DO NOT replace FAT with NTFS, If you do so only NT can
access your harddisk.

Of course you can have both NT and Win 95 on your computer. But notice
this: DOS can only read FAT16, not NTFS or FAT32, NT can read FAT and NTFS,
not FAT32, but Win95 can read them all.
