GP2: The BAD NEWS...

by JEB in Vega » Sat, 20 Jul 1996 04:00:00

I've spent several hours with GP2 now and I have some really
BAD news to report. It seems, ahem, that on the Semi-pro
setting (the Middle option) of opponent skill that the
computer drivers are.....

REALLY TOUGH....I'm talking really tough.

I used to "eat their lunch" on this setting and now it's
a horse of a different color. I'm looking forward to trying
to overcome the Semi-pros as I used to race at the Ace level
in the previous version. I'm also VERY IMPRESSED with the
intelligence and the aggressiveness of the "enemy" cars.
I had one guy riding my "six" for several laps at Monza and
he finally caught me in a chicane and ran my tush off the
track. I was really pissed..."don't these guys know WHO I AM??"

Sheeez. I think it is safe to say that the "AI" is somewhat
an improvement over the previous version.
