   I would like to use voice commands as a substitute for the key strokes when
'talking'  to my pit crew in ICR2. This would enable me to issue instructions
'on the fly' instead of having to pause the game to do so.
   Does anyone know of a DOS based (TSR?) voice command program that would
allow this? I think some flight sims have this facility but I don't know
whether or not it has to be built into the sim program.

It's not a rumor; the Macintosh version of IndyCar Racing II allows you to
give orders to your pit crew via voice. Pretty much anything that you can
do with the F-keys on the DOS version is a voice command on the Mac (the
F-keys are available as well).

Macintosh, yes, these features will probably migrate to the PC platform.

Given the current state of the art on both platforms, however, I wouldn't
expect to see it on the PC in less than 2 or 3 years at the Mac's current
quality level, and then it will only be in Windows 95 (NT, 99, whatever).
