No, I know why you wanted system specs, but I can't figure out what YOU
consider a strong system - I'm not a mind-reader.  *I* think the track would
probably run fine on at least a 1Gig system w/ a GF3 or V5, but I haven't seen
it.  I doubt very seriously you need a 1.7 or 2G system for one track...
I have an Athlon 1.2 with a V5 - is that strong enough?

Send him an email, it's worth it.

Why not upload the track somewhere and let others judge themselfs Tom...
instead of just playing God?

LOL, yeah Ed that's the way to convince him...

Tom, if you're concerned people will bug you when it doesn't work on their
system you have 3 options:

1. Optimize your graphics so it will (Eldred's 1.2 gig PC with Voodoo5 is
far from obsolete)

2. Post a disclaimer and ignore the complaints.

3. Do as you're doing now but at least admit it's a power trip.

You and Ed need to get a life.  I have very good reasons for doing what I'm
doing......whether you like them or not is not really my concern.  If you
think a simple request of asking someone to send me an email is a "power
trip"....then so be it.  I can promise you I can think of 50 ways to do this
that would be less of a hassle to me......but this is the way that works for
my situation at the moment.  I could have said nothing about having this
track.....remember that!

Tom,

No offense, and I think I understand why you are doing it this way, but
within 3 days it's going to get leaked onto a website, distributed among
league friends, etc and be mass distributed regardless.

Oh yeah,  I forgot to tell you I've posted it at The Pits, Fileplanet and
forwarded it to BHMS, High Gear, Lightspeed, and GameSpy for download.    ;p

Why not just play it by Toms rules - he may have reasons for doing it this
way.

We should thank those who contribute and share, not give them a hard time.

Not sure I understand the reference to the "ISP's don't care"....??  Havas
Legal....that's who represents Sierra/Papyrus.  Maybe that's not widely
known?  I thought it was, though.

It took 30 seconds to e-mail Tom who promptly
responded with a download link. What's the big deal ?

Guys who spend time to make our simming experience
better shouldn't have to put up with getting harassed like
this.

PS: the track upgrade is great IMO, Thanks Tom :)

Ok, if you see someone posting illegal parts of a Papy sim Tom, like a
complete track, try getting them removed, if the owner of the site
doesn't want to cooperate, you'd have to contact the hosting ISP, and
these days they don't seem to care

"Tom Pabst"

Without complaining about the distribution, I can only say two words...
Mid Ohio..................
(I KNOW you don't work there,  I KNOW you don't have the blueprints....I
KNOW all the reasons)
{but}
[wouldn't that track made at the same level of detail as Tom's Sears be
SOMETHING????]

sigh........

Ah...I see the reference.  I don't really care....but if Havas did....they'd
make the ISP care....guarantee you.  They have in the past, at least.
