Season 6
Second Half
An Invitation to Join In
To All Australian & New Zealand GPL Racers:
The first half of the Grand Prix Legends Australian Championship Season 6
has progressed well and soon the second half of the competition will be
under way.
The remaining seven rounds include Rouen, Monza, Spa, Watkins Glen,
Silverstone, and Mexico, and will end at Adelaide on the 9th October, the
before-Melbourne traditional last dance of the Formula 1 circus.
If you didn't take part in the first half of the season, or only took part
in a few races, then don't worry that you'll have no chance on the standings
tables. We'll be compiling 2nd Half Standings tables that'll only count the
results from the last seven rounds. You'll have an equal chance with anyone
else to make your mark in those 2nd-Half competitions.
Drivers are matched together on an individual performance basis so that, as
far as possible, drivers of equal ability compete together. This matching is
carried out on a round by round basis to maintain the best possible driver
performance matching throughout the series. A special more light hearted
series called the Pre-Qualifying Series has been set up for this purpose and
is run in the alternative weeks on the same tracks, but with shorter races
and reverse grids - just for fun. ( You can just enter to take part in the
Pre-Qualifying Series but not the GPLAC 6 itself if you prefer ).
If you've not entered the competition before, or have become deactivated
during the first half of the season, please go to the GPLAC 6 web site here,
http://www.racesimcentral.net/; , and complete the entry form on the Sign
Up page.
