Anyone runnin V-Raptor??

by JB » Sun, 08 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Just ordered the V-Raptor with 8 meg PCI for $79 and was wondering what kind
of frame rates to expect. I'm running a 300a at 450 96meg ram with an old
screamin 3d.Getting good frame rates (24-30) but only in low res (512x385)
640x480 is choppy and 600x800 is awful (10 fps). What can I expect...Thanks

You should love it.  I went from a Intergraph V1000 to a Hercules
V2200/8meg/AGP on a C300A/450 and found a great improvement.  You
should be able to run 800x600 solo and 640x480 w/19 AI with reasonable
graphics levels (both at 36 fps).

At 640X480 I get the following results:
On grid (18 cars):  35 fps
At start:  15 fps
Going into first corner: 21 fps
Spinning in first corner :):   10 fps
