Need help.

I am having a problem with GPL and my Diamond Monster Voodoo II card.  When
I try to run GPL in 3dfx the track and all the surroundings will turn black
but can still see my car.  A little farther down the track the road comes
back and then is gone again.  I really am very new to computers and such so
I need some help getting this problem cleared up.  Here is what my system
is:

Pent II 400
128 mb ram
Sound Blaster Live sound card
Diamond Viper 550 Riva TNT card 16mb
Diamond Monster Voodoo II card 12mb
8.0 Gig HD
and so on

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

H'mmm, something to try..... in the Diamond Monster control panel, make sure
'tripple buffering' is 'OFF', I had trouble with that with GPL originally, but
all ok now.... I also heard that GPL don't like 128mb. of ram, something to do
with memory allocation.... but you will have to ask others on that one!
Also make sure you have the latest 3dfx drivers from Diamond.... w9xm2207
Good luck....

GPL doesn't like the latest glide2x.dll (version 2.54). You need version
2.53.  You can place this dll directly in your GPL folder and leave the
later version in its normal place in the Windows hierarchy.

I haven't heard about this.  I have 128 MB of RAM and have no problems.

Works wonders!

me and about 5 other guys I race online with all have 128mb ram and have no
problems at all. Even better we get really long replays!
