Racer graphics problem

Just gave Ruud's Races a proper try yesterday. Splendid piece of
software there. After figuring out how to get a close to incar view
(is incar even possible yet ?) I found it very drivable. Good FF
effects in my MSFF, and a bunch of fun. Well done and keep up the good
work. This might be big.

But I have a problem with the car graphics flashing. No matter what
car or track I use, the car is flashing constantly.

Graphics card is V5 and I turned off FSAA. I run in 800x600
mode. WinME fresh install. Latest official graphics drivers.

Do anyone know how to fix this ?

Seems I got a good read in front of me to figure out all the ini
files. Specially how to get rid of all that text. :)

My apologies if my problem has been covered somewhere recently.

And again, keep up the good work Ruud!

Thanks. :)

Seems a recurring problem with Voodoo's. Don't hear of it on any of
the other cards. Don't have any V3 or up cards around here, so I can't
really help either.

On the site there's some documentation on Racer.exe; if you decide not
the RTFM, try Ctrl-I. ;-)

yeah, I have the same problem here... I'm on a banshee (okay, you can stop
laughing now) Other than that, Racer is awesome! Keep up the great work.
With all the support from the sim community I can see this going far.

Another Voodoo. Still, a couple of versions ago I had a Banshee. Until
I got so fed up with its poor drivers that I switched to nVidia
boards.
Thanks btw, and get a LAN for the next version. :)

Hmm, didn't sound to good. Thanks for the answer anyway. I think I
have to live with it then, since I don't part with my V5 just yet. A
processor upgrade is higher on the prority list, and computer upgrade
is way down on the general priority list :)

Great!

Weird, but good to hear it's not just my code. :)
Although it seemed to work ok when I still had my Banshee...

same here.  I had a Voodoo 1 that worked just fine.  I then replaced
with a GF2MX, and the next time I tried it on a voodoo (which was
quite a bit later) I got the flashing textures.

haven't really been bothered to look into it, though

I've found that turning off fullscreen mode helps under windows.
