About n2 and ten HELP or guidance??

by News.midusa.ne » Mon, 16 Feb 1998 04:00:00

I would like to race on TEN...
I have been racing for a long time...  I have installed tracks, patches,
cars, ai updates. and all.

What I am wondering before I go there do I need a fresh install of n2 with
papy updates, and the ten software?
or can I run it with what I have installed already??

Thanks guys

I would highly recommend doing a fresh install of N2 for Ten, that way if
you do have any problems at least you'll know it's not caused by any
modifications you've made. A lot of guys keep 2 copies of N2 on their hard
drives, 1 for online, and 1 for off.
I'd do a fresh install, then install the patch unless you have the GNS
pack. (patch is on it).

I would recommend another seperate install for the online version.  It
would help keep things fresh.  All those patches MIGHT cause some
problems.

You can run what you have. TEN will actually run its own version of the
game that you will download when you sign up, don't be alarmed, the TEN
version is every bit as realistic, it just doesn't include the add on
tracks. Hope to see you all on the NROS.

A clean install is highly recommended. (You can rename your existing
directory before re-installing, so you can keep  an "OFFLINE" version also.)
Some people seem to have more probs w/patched sound files, or graphics, etc.
The easiest way to get a "Papy Patched" version, is to install N2, then BGN
expansion pack, then TEN stuff. Personally, I have diff. carsets & CCG AI
for Taladega and still get the occasional boot, but I don't think anymore
boots than the average bear! Good Luck! For more info check out the "other"
