If it is removed, check and see if you have braking help on (options)

Check the weather, too.  I've noticed the hotter is is, the faster you'll
run.

Some people like running Dega at those high speeds, not because they can't
beat the computer cars.  I happen to prefer the close racing with the
plates left on.  

BTW, it's only cheating if you don't change the RELS line to speed up the
computer cars as well.

Taladega is my favorite track. I have a set of rules set up with my dad
and we see who can be top dog. I have played with a thousand set ups and
the biggest thing that you can do to run faster is run ONE MORE RACE...
