and I like it.
It doesn't have the "feel" of GPL (that game has the most convincing feel of
driving a car I have ever played) but then again I could probably drive
f12000 successfully, after a couple of months on GPL I consider myself lucky
to complete a lap without crashing. I guess that's the payoff for accuracey.
Brakes suck, with ALB turned off any slight touch of the pedal brings on
wheel lock and it doesn't go away when you release the pedal. Turned ALB on,
much better.
Graphics look lovely, but framerate sucks when there are a lot of cars
around. I am running a Celeron 500, 64 meg with a 32 meg tnt2 m64. I did
expect better.
Tracks seem fine to me, I have never driven around any F1 tracks so little
things like where the bumps are don't worry me at all. Nice to have some
proper hills at last. GP2 and F1RS seemed to be totally flat.
I really don't see what all the problems are, apart from the sometimes slow
framerate I really like this. I guess I've been waiting for a nice new f1
sim for so long now.
Thank you EA and thank you MYTH.
P.S If a demo had been available I would have definately downloaded that in
Preferance to the 140 meg I did, but with nothing else but screenshots
around you have to get what you can get!
Scott.
