Another question while i'm new and painful to this forum...

I recall a year or so ago someone was creating a sim based on 1960s Transam
racing (ie. mustangs, camaros/pontiacs, etc)

Did anything ever come of that?

Are there any 1960s Transam mods for existing games?

I once downloaded a '69 mustang for SCGT but at the time this was the extent
of racing from that era.

There was an SCGT project but that's all I can remember.  The uspits did a
Trans Am patch for Nascar Legends.   While not up to the same graphic and
physic levels as the new mods for F1 2k2 it was pretty trick for it's day.
I don't know if anyone is attempting to mod F1 2k2 for the Trans Am
series.  There is a project to mod the CanAM cars from about the same era as
the Trans Am you were looking for.

I think your talking about that title by Motorsims , the ones that did  AMA
Superbike and NHRA  drag racing game's. I'm  sure that it has been cancelled
,btw i think the Marcos in  GTR2002 is really close to a Transam car watch a
race on the Speed channel then take a few laps in the marcos. The sound and
feel is close save for the righthand drive  Ya baby!!!   fzrdude

I too remember that game. Don't know what it was called, but it got
cancelled by the publisher and the engine was used to make those ***
Dukes of Hazard games.

Trans Am Racing 68-72 developed by EAI Interactive and to be published by GT
Interactive. It was supposed to be released in Fall '98. I played it at E3
that year. It was looking promising, but it still had a ways to go to be a
really good sim.

There was the now-defunct Trans Am mod for F1 2001 in development at BTWRacing.
Luckily, it seems it isn't forever lost: apparently all the work done is going
to be used on a Trans Am mod for F1 2002

I didn't read a paragraph further down, apparently he is considering releasing
the final mod for *Racing Legends*... He thinks people are no longer interested
in mods for F1 2001. Let's persuade him to release it for F1 2002, then!
