Newly announced Arrow's Test driver, Mark Webber has driven Grand Prix

At the Melbourne International Motor Show, on the Hyper Stimulator
International display stand, Mark Webber hopped in to have a try.
Upon closer investigation, I found out that Mark had never driven GPL before
(but had briefly used a Hyper Stim).
I first explained the controls etc.. (left for left, right for right :-)
then we took to the track. We did 2 laps practise, then we did another
session with one warm up lap, and one flying lap.
With this little practise, Mark showed his driving skill WELL beyond
anything attained by noted Touring car drivers (such as Jason Bargwana,
Garth Tander, Steven Ellery, all Australian V8 Supercar drivers) to record a
time much quicker than anyone else.
After a full 4 laps of driving, Mark managed a lap of 1:32.xx!!
No other driver was able to get below a 1:55 with such little practise, and
afterwards, Mark was basically amazed with the realism. I then proceeded to
show him the setup options and the different cars and tracks you can drive.
He then asked if you can drive the Nurburgring, to which I answered "Yes,
you can drive the full 14 miles and 180 corners taking 8 mintutes to drive a
lap"..
His jaw dropped!!!
YES.. it was at Monza...
Remeber your first 4 laps of GPL...?? probably couldn't get out of the
pits :-)
1:32 is fantastic.. and I talked him around the track to explain what to
do... amazing.. I was showing a Formula 1 driver how do drive a race
car.... (smug mode :-)
And I have the pictures to prove it :-)

All kidding aside: 1m32s at Monza is indeed fantastic for a complete GPL
novice, but I think he played it very smart by listening to you.
Think about it, the last thing you want to do as an upcoming F1 driver is
make a fool out of yourself in a racing "game". He must have noticed you
know your stuff when it comes to GPL. Consider his situation: he doesn't
know the controls, nor the track. So he shelves the ego (if any), listens to
the well meaning advise of "the expert" and goes on to use his ability to
adapt to a car/learn a track to astound all present.
Even if this didn't empress anyone in his entourage (which I'm pretty sure
it did), he sure got our attention, didn't he?
