True, a writer, a composer, two scientific explorers and a painter.... the
names ring a bell and they're all Norwegian, obviously, but I can't think of
a connection to soccer for any of them. Can't link them David, Goy nor you
either, so yup: I haven't got a clue what this is about.

Jan./ nice to be in line with 9/10ths of the population for once.

The "White Trash" operations claiming to be newspapers (The Sun and The Mirror)
seem to educate the nation... ;)

The event is now a classic in both England and Norway.

Ah... I knew it had to be a paraphrase, but the reference was a bit too
obscure for me to know about. Thanks

Nice one, BTW.

Bjorn Minge? I know (trust me on this one) that norwegian names tend
to get butchered abroad, but how do you get from Bj?rge Lillelien to
Bjorn Minge?

Minge is a colloquial term (gypsy origin I think) referring to a part of a
lady's anatomy, a front bottom, if you will.

For the purposes of satire, it probably sounded "foreign" enough to make a
spoof name from.

ROFL

Oh well, time to go and watch our team getting the ***kicked out of
them by Wales (?), GO WALES, WALES RULES

I hope Ryan Giggs has one of his "days" and makes a complete fool of our
defense, the only way I can see our current couch, or coach, take your
pick, stepping down so that we can hire one that can bring back the
glory days, yes, we've had a couple, we beat Brazil TWICE in 98, one of
them was in the WC no less.....
