ICR2 editreplay question

Which version are you using? Version 3.0 which (I hope) is at the US
mirror of The PIts supports it properly. V2.6 and below only support
Indycar 1 and Nacsar and you have to use the Nascar setting to read
ICR2 replays.

Like I said v3.0 works fine.

I'm having the same problem, and I've downloaded it twice- once from
Michael Wollenschein's pages, and once form the USA Ptts mirror... and
I get the same problem. At first it looks for ICR directory; after it
finishes this pointless activity, I quit it, edit the newly made .INI
file to read IndyCar2 as the sim, and then restart it- it then loods
for ICR2 directory, but never finds it.

If noone can solve this, can someone at least post their .INI file, so
I can see how to manually enter the directory?

Thanks

here's my .ini...

Simulator=Indycar2
NasCarDirectory=E:\NASCAR
NasCarSet=cars94
IndyCarDirectory=E:\INDYCAR
IndyCarSet=CARS95C

Indy2CarDirectory=E:\Indyca~1

rem... the ~ above is because i'm in Windows 95... just make sure its
the real dos filename

Indy2CarSet=EDITRPY

rem... the "EDITRPY"  directory is a special one I created with a
version of the drivers.txt file with the "NUMDR" field changed to 32
from the original 40 ... seems Editrpy has a problem with anything
greater than 32?!? (it won't display the proper driver id if you go
over 32 in that field)

AnalysisUnits=English
AnalysisFormat=Printable

Try changing the name of your Indycar2 directory to Icr2 then edit the
the editrpy.ini file.  This worked for me.

Thanks, this is roughly what I finally did. It works fine now. Any
suggestions what to do with the data? I've got Excel, and I've been
graphing good runs and bad runs to see how they match, but I'd really
like to figure out some way to match it up to the course more
precisely.

Thanks again.

I've just released a new version (3.2) of editrpy which fixes several
bugs and has a few enhancements.  (One of them is a better algorithm for
finding the Indycar, Indycar2 and Nascar directories...which would have
avoided the problem in the notes above)

Bugs fixed:

- Vertical scroll bar sometimes inoperative
- Infinite loop (position > track length) when replay of wrong type
- Modified drivers2.txt caused driver's names to be numbers
- Lap speeds slower than what Papyrus reports
- Lap copied into an editrpy created replay file would become
  the pace car

Enhancements:

- Support for all 30 tracks in ICR2
  (15 ICR2 tracks, 14 additional Nascar tracks, Indy)
- decimal separator character preference (can be '.' or ',')
- Improved detection of Indycar, Indycar2 and Nascar
  directories.

Editrpy 3.2 is available by anonymous ftp at didnt.doit.wisc.edu

and at http://www.millcomm.com/~corrigan/editrpy.html
