Can anyone recommend a decent joystick for GPL???  My Thrustmaster Top
Gun just doesn't want to work well with GPL.  I have to assign a button
to the throttle and the brake to get it to go foward and stop.  I've
calibrated it and still that's the only way it will go.  I have movement
on both axes too when I calibrate it.  It works great with all the Need
for Speed games, Rally Masters and Colin McRae Rally 2.  Just not GPL,
Nascar 4 and Heat.

I've got a MS Sidwider Race Wheel, but the way my desk and chair are
it's a pain to pull it out and setup so I rarely use it.
Anyways, I'm gonna give GPL a try and see how well I like it.

Thanks,

Jeff

the MS Sidewinder Joystick is excellent, it has a slider for the throttle.

<snip>

Probably way below what you want, but I got on quite well with a basic
MS Sidewinder Standard, their bottom-of-the-range stick. Cost 20 quid
at the time (1998) and while I wouldn't want to use it instead of a
wheel, it was good enough to do VROC with.
