is your CD player speed adjustable? If so try turning it down. If that
doesn't work, temporarily disable auto play by holding down the <SHIFT>
key while the CD is initially reading the CD. If none of that works. If
that dose not work, try this: when you first turn on your cpu, put in
the CD before the Ram count ends, crazily enough this might sound, it's
worth a shot!

Subject says it all.  Bought it, returned it for another.  In both
cases my CD ROM player would grind and grind and .....  It just won't
read it.  I've got a new PII 266 with a 18X Acer CD ROM player.  Any
ideas, suggestions why this won't work.  Every other CD ROM I have is
read properly.  I'm mysitified.

Ya know, its strange.  While I haven't had that problem with SODA, I get
some cd's that do the same thing;  you put em in, and they just sit and
spin and never get recognized.  Try this.  Put the SODA cd in the drive,
and completely reboot the computer.  Shut the power off and everything.
Restart the computer and see if the drive will stop spinning.  sometimes
this works sometimes not.  If it stops, you should be able to read the
drive.
