Hi there! GT-2002 looks really awesome! I wonder if somebody could take a
moment to answer some questions about it?

1) When will it be released?
2) How many cars will it feature?
3) How many, if any, tracks will it feature and what will they be?
4) How graphically hungry is the mod? will I get comparable frame rates to
say, the Ralph Hummerich F1-2K2 season? I ask this because SSM's GT carset
has a horrifically bad***pit that chews up the framerate, and I have a
reasonably good rig. How will yours compare?

Thanks for your time

I'm not part of the team but I'll pass on what scuttle-***I've heard.
I think the plan was sometime in November...but I don't recall seeing a
definate release date.

They are shooting for everycar that ran in this years FIA season.
That is quite a few...Vipers, Listers, Ferrari's, Morgans, Porche's  etc
etc.  Go to the Simbin message fourum and take a-look at their preview
thread...tons of very good screenshots.

They have released several beta tracks, like Brands Hatch and
Donnington, you can bet most of those will be available.  Remember...the
tracks are all interchangable(ai and certain items need to be customized)
but any track you now have for 2002 will be available for the GTR mod.

If you'll remember, their FIA GT V3 mod actually got BETTER framerates
than the F1 2k1 mod it was based on.   However they have already said that
2k2 has a lower fps than 2k1 so that the new mod will also be slightly
slower than V3.  I would suspect the SMDT cars will run at a slightly higher
fps than the current beta cars released with SSM.

There will be a few (Un-released yet) tracks also, like the "Old Monza"
(With the speed ring) and "Old Nurberbring" the track with 101 curves.

Simbin has changed it's name to Simmod : http://www.racesimcentral.net/

;o)
