Well I likely would have waited to buy NL, especially since with the betas
of N3, going back to the original NL (old mirrors, support for only two
controller buttons, etc.) is tough. I have avoided playing it really,
waiting for the patch. However, I prefer NL over N3 if I was forced to make
a choice (between two patched versions).
It is just one in a long, long string of software publishers punishing
early-adopter purchasers of their games (and other products) instead of
rewarding them. Lack of upgrade rebates for games like F1RS-->MGPRS2 or
N2-->NR1999 and so on are another classic example.
