bitter...) how does the game perform on your system? I'm assuming the
architecture is similar enough to F1C to suggest that the title will perform
just as well on my system.

One car on an empty track is no way to examine the system demands.
Although it 'seems' on par with F1c, there is no way of telling until we
get a full field out there.

(the default video settings are for 24 cars visible. So we may assume that
making the entire field visible is a strain on most systems.)

If it not available anymore via the rage3d forum, (see lower thread) it
is on the edonkey network. (Download emule from www.sourceforge.net) and
wait a while. ;-)

I've answered my own question. By happy coincidence my neighbour has just
had broadband installed. A quick burning session and a few drinks later and,
amongst other things, I've got the GTR demo and the TRD2 demo (keeping an
open mind about that one, haven't tried it yet). I've been playing with GTR
for a couple of hours now, and it's ***y brilliant.
Wonder where this leaves the Wests now, I can't help but think of Brian
Wilson sitting on 'Smile' after hearing 'Sgt Pepper'.

It runs smooth on my system (9700 Pro w/Athlon 64 3200+... 2xAA, 8xAF,
1280x1024x32, practically everything maxed), but the framerate is lower than
in a F1C practice session. It sure does look nice, but I have a feeling a
lot will need to be dialed back with a full grid.
