Help - The garage wont work with NASCAR IWCCCARS
The IWCCCARS are excellant. I d/l them and installed them as per
the instructions. The only prob is using this set I cannot get
into the garage. It says garage error ok. Everything else works fine!
I tried using the paintkit to make sure the stuff loaded. It did.
I re-saved certain bits to make sure that it was all OK. Still
no joy. I have tried patching to V1.2 aswell. I have tried VGA
and SVGA, I have tried different drivers and swapping paint schemes.
All to no avail. Anybody have this problem ? It all works fine
if I switch back to cars94.
BTW I have the European skimpy manual and the CD version.

IWCCCARS still isn't directly supporting the Euro version of the sim.  I'm
still trying to locate the hex locations that I need to edit to make it
compatible with the European version.  Once I get those, I will make a
European version available via the IWCCCARS distribution site.

I have the same problem with the IWCCCARS carset and I have mailed to the
maker of the set and here is the answer:

"...you're probably using the European version of the simulator. IWCCCARS
doesn't work with taht version yet, although I'm working on it."

Why the hell do they make EUROPEAN and US VERSIONS i hate that.

Is there a real difference between those versions.

I'll be surprised if it was (one is the manual if you can call it that)

To use carsets, which were created with the US Version of Nascar, with
the *** version you must do the following:

either make your *** version a US version by

  changing all occurences of the ASCII sequence beng13 to kell_5
  in the two files OBJS.DAT and your CARS94.DAT

or make the US carset a *** carset by

  changing all occurences of the ASCII sequence kell_5 to beng13
  in that new <carset>.DAT file.
