Totally awesome! I was waiting for someone to do something exactly like
this! For a bit more money too, a proper shift knob could be installed and a
really nice machined aluminum H plate!

Thanks for the compliments.  Credit must be given to the guys building the
gameport versions, as that's what got me thinking about it.

I looked at shifter knobs at a few auto part stores, but they were more than the
cost of the rest of it combined! The whole idea was not to spend more that the
AL shifter, or why bother. ;-) Hope to get to a junk yard soon to see what can
be had for a knob. And yes, a couple nice shiny coverplates with 4 speed and 5
speed patterns are certainly needed.

So Ken does this mean you have 2 unused Axises? How about setting up
one of those spare axis for a clutch and you would be set. Cool idea,
now all you need is a race chassis.

BTW: I think this Momo wheel is helping my GPL career more than any
other addition I have made! Like you really want to hear that :-)
