GP2 - Throttle problems

by Alf Peele » Sun, 02 Feb 1997 04:00:00

I have reoccurring problems with throttle sticking in full power, this
of course gives a problem when entering the curves.
Is there anyone ewith a good suggestion on how to solve this problem?
I am running the GP2 with the Thrustmaster T2, on a 486/DX4-100, and the
problem is not mechanical.

feature that allows mechanical failures? Just a
that pedal is probably dirty!
The way to  cure this problem is using a good contact/tuner cleaner, you
can find this at a good electronic repair shop.
Just spray inside the potentiometer (small hole) generously and move back
and forth your pedal to make the cleaner work all around
the contact inside the potentiometer, by the way do the same to other
potentiometer ; steering wheel and the other pedal, if you
do this regulary, you won't have any problem anymore GOOD LUCK!

Calibration problem perhaps?

you say its not mechanical....are you sure?

Pots not sticking are they?

I have the exact same set-up as you, and I have never had any problems?
(486/dx4-100, & T2)
Although I don't use my T2 much.

Send it over here! The poor thing..... So lonely, waiting for someone to use it.
