0wnz j00. Just needs decent AI and split axis and we're onto a winner!

I'm really enjoying this great game called Grand Prix Legends :-)

I'm also curious as to the AI, but the demo does support split axis. I'm
using it with my MSFF wheel and the split axis works. However, it was a pain
in the ass to configure in the game. No matter what button or axis I went to
configure, it kept putting "Axis Z+" in it place. After some trial and
error, I got it the way I wanted.

The graphics are beautiful and DAMN if those aren't the most accurate
looking tracks I've seen in any F1 game!! What a difference from F1RS; that
game had some of the WORST tracks ever. I remember Suzuka and Imola were
awful!! Let's hope the rest of the tracks in the full version look as
authentic as these!

The cons seem to be tinny engine sound, crappy looking trees and canned
Force Feedback effects.

The pros are gorgeous graphics, ultra fast frame rate with T & L support
(yes!) and beautifully modeled tracks.

It's made me curious enough to pick up the full version. Anyone know when
it'll appear in North America??

The tracks ought to be perfect.  Ubisoft used GPS to get the correct layout.
From what I hear this demo  is 2 months old code.  Ubisoft is still working on
it.  The final will see big improvements.  It goes on sale worldwide on March
15th.

Yep - Let's hope so!

Split axis is in the preview version, and is reputed to be working with some
configurations with the demo version too.

Some questions remain - AI, damage modelling, setup options, tyre wear etc.
etc. BUT as a limited demo it takes me back to a certain other demo. (You
remember three cars, one track, no AI, no setup options...)
