  two lines stuck out for me...the one about 3rd party add ons helping to
deal with the 'sting of failure'
  (I submit GPL was NOT a failure--although in purely financial terms that
could be argued)
and the talk of their next project...not the part about what Dave K would
"like' to do but just a reference to their next project....
  (it's always nice to know somethings on the backburner)
