F1 rules: tyres

A question to all F1 experts: have the rules concerning types changed
from 1994 to 1995? PowerF1 and GP2 have different versions on how to
change tyres, so either one is of them is wrong or the reglement has
changed. ANy answers would be appreciated.

Bye!

Not sure what you mean by this?

In gp2 you cannot change tyres as only Goodyears were used?

You can select to use either qualifying tyres or racing tyres during a
non-championship race or championship, but this is only because you only
have a finite no' of tyre sets to use?

The rules did NOT change to my knowledge during 1994/95? But they have
changed this year, (1997/98) as there are now two tyre manufacturers
used, eg:- Goodyear and Bridgestone?

If you clarify what you mean we may be able to help more fully?

1. If you use 2 sets in qualifying, are you automatically fitted with
the last set for the start of a race?
2. If you use then subsequently pitstop and change tyres, which set do
you get? The least worn, or one of the the other two sets at random?

Thanks in advance.

2 sets of what? qualifying or race tyres?( you can use both sets of tyres
in practice and qualifying sessions, but you can only use race tyres in a
race). NB :- you have 3 sets of qualifying, and 4 sets of race tyres.

If you have not used a particular set of qualifying tyres, you will not
be allowed to use them during a race, only race tyres can be used in a
race.

When? during a race, when you pit, you are given a new set of tyres, or
if they have all been used, you are given the set which is least worn.
During a practice, warm-up, or qualifying session, you can choose which
set you want to fit, eg:- any qualifying or race set.
