i just bought viper racing and I'm very impressed. All I want to know is has
anyone won the GT class in career mode, and has anyone beaten the AI on
hard?

No it shipped today. I was at Electronics Boutique earlier in the week &
just for s&grins asked about it & Half-Life, both promised "real soon now."
They said Viper Wed. & HL Fri. Bought Viper today & they said HL is moved
up a day- available tomorrow, Thursday 11/19/1998. Woo hoo!

So far I've only done 3 lap "short races" against an officemate. I have to
say that the demo was so impressive that the retail game (haven't tried the
career mode yet, so take this with pinch o' salt) is a tad dissapointing.
I think the demo track, Silverdale may be the best and the extra tweaks
(different shape to car) aren't too interesting.

Maybe they should have limited the demo a little more. NFS3 demo only
lets me do one lap then makes me look at an ad for a while. Enough to
know it's too "arcadey," but not much fun. We've been running single lap
time,
2 lap race time, max speed contests with the Viper DEMO (!) and having
a lot of fun.

Jeez- do I have to buy a 3d card for my *work* computer now so we can do
network games (the other guys waited a month for their fast PIIs & got
3DLabs

but
I'm a quaker: head 2 head rules.

I just bought Viper Racing (and ProPilot '99, proving P. T. Barnum's Theory)
during lunch at EBX in Redmond, WA.

I haven't tried either. I will tonight.

Viper Racing is fun. And if I ever get any better than 7 out of 8 and collect
some BIG money...it will be even more fun.
ProPilot 99 has enough good in it that I will keep it for $19.96 ($39.96-20
rebate for PP98)
