F1CS2k vs F1RC vs GP3

Jay,

To me the best to drive and the most stable, system wise, is GP3.  With a
nice, fast system GP3 does not look too bad graphically.  I do like the way
the car handles and also think the AI is the best of the lot.  If you do the
huge 2001 update (90 meg) and run GPX for the add-ons, you'll have a pretty
nice racing sim.  Too bad though that there is no Internet play.

The cars in F1CS2000 drive way too heavily.  F1RC was fun at first but then
I lost interest.  There are too many quirks and system mishaps in that game,
making the experience less than enjoyable.  Plus the AI is not good.

That's my brief take,

F1CS2k vs F1RC vs GP3

Yeah, that's the one I like best of the current contenders, too.  It doesn't
do anything "best", but IMO it's the most overall fun and the least
troublesome.  With some excellent 3rd-party patches that add features and
improve certain aspects of the sim tremendously--especially the sound--it's
hard to beat.

Iain represents the difference among the three very well.  F1RC is
definitely the "best looking", but it's issues are a killer for me.  The sim
pukes on my system for some reason, so I can't be a judge as to it's
features, or lack thereof--highly frustrating, considering its looks and
evident potential.

But like many others, I have to say that none of the top modern-era
contenders are truly satisfying, which may in part be due to the existence
of a little gem called GPL.

Sarcasm?!?   Moi?!?  Why, I . . . I . . . I'm, uh . . . speechless!!

And "hardened"!?   That's low, Iain . . . really, really, low.  I may never
recover.

The pain . . . . . the pain . . . :-)

I like F1 2K CS most. GP3 drives strange i think, and looks arather
bad, F1RC looks superb en runs superb but the AI is stupid.
F12K CS looks reasonable , runs rather good, and AI is good.

I have to agree with FlopDoc. I'm not a big fan of F1CS2k's tracks (compared
to F1RC or GP3) but the DM is okay and the AI is very fun to run with. GP3
is fun too but the DM feels artificial and 'disconnected' compared to the
other two (feels too much like GP2). Now if the AI can be corrected in F1RC
I would be very happy! When is that damn patch coming out! :-)
